Bio

Spenser has decided to set aside his filmmaking career for the time being and pursue licensure as a mental health professional. He is in the Master's in Marital and Family Therapy Program at the University of San Diego.

Spenser is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer, podcaster, and skeptic. His passion for documentary filmmaking goes hand-in-hand with this love for telling stories that explore diverse aspects of human experience. His love for documentary crystallized when he completed his senior directing project, "Called", a story about a man called to serve the inner-city teens on the west side of Chicago. He continues to be inspired by new ideas, communities, and experiences.

Spenser is a champion of the scientific method and encourages the use of skeptical, evidence-based thinking to alleviate suffering in the world.

In his spare time, Spenser loves training for triathlons and experiencing the outdoors as much as he can.
